Our Community Companion Service is here to offer much-needed support - for both those receiving care and their carers. Whether it's regular check-ins, practical help at home, or simply companionship, we're here to ease the load and provide peace of mind.

Designed to support older adults across Sheffield, our service helps reduce isolation, encourages community involvement, and supports everyday living - so individuals can maintain independence and feel more connected.

Our Community Companions can help with:

• Reducing the risk of isolation through regular social interaction
• Encouraging participation in activities at home and in the community
• Relieving everyday pressures from carers and loved ones
• Accompanying individuals to appointments, lunch outings, or shopping trips
• Assisting with domestic tasks, such as light cleaning and basic meal prep

Practical Help for Everyday Life

We know that even small tasks can become challenging over time. That’s why we offer flexible, personalised support tailored to each individual’s needs.

We can assist with a range of day-to-day tasks, including:

• Preparing Meals
• Shopping
• Socialising - including a trip to the cafe, theatre or a chat over tea
• Technology support
• Basic DIY
• Cleaning and laundry
• Gardening
• General assistance and light handyman services
• Hospital, GP and medical appointments

All our companions are fully insured and DBS checked, giving you total peace of mind.

Companion Service Pricing

Our Companion Service is designed to offer flexible, reliable support when you need it.

• £25 per hour
• Minimum visit: 90 minutes (£40)

Your 90-minute visit is ideal if you are looking for:

• Friendly companionship
• Support with appointments or shopping trips
• Free transport within 5 miles

Many clients find that booking a full 2-hour visit (£50) allows plenty of time to attend appointments or complete shopping without feeling rushed.
